The Community Cup Classic Foundation was created to improve adult engagement in all facets of youth development where youth are shown appreciation by those within their community
Provide small, in-person groups for students K-8 students learning together with the help of an in-person tutor or teacher to supplement virtual learning through the studentsschool district(s). This partnership with MyCom is intended to first support studentlearningpartners will have to supervise students while they are participating in official academic virtual learning as designed by their home school district. Partners may also offer enrichment services at times when students are not participating in virtual learningthrough their school district(s). Funding partners will work with the home school districts to identify community-based organizations to manage these academic learning pods targeting children of essential workers, homeless youth, students without internet access,and those most academically disadvantaged.
Throughout the calendar year, communities throughout Cuyahoga County (Ohio), earn points for participation in a variety of Community Cup Classic family centered activities, programs, events, opportunities and sports. The annual event calendar culminates in June of 2020 with The Community Cup Classic Finals, a week celebration filled with signature events. Through direct partnerships community residents will have an opportunity to work with leaders and professionals throughout the year who will provide mentorship in leadership, opportunities to participate in civic engagement, career training, academics, peer support and health/wellness and fitness activities.
