GUATEMALA CONSTRUCTION & SUPPORT - ORGANIZED FOUR WEEK-LONG SERVICE TRIPS TO GUATEMALA. 150 VOLUNTEERS BUILT 11 PERMANENT CONCRETE-BLOCK HOMES IN THE GUATEMALA GARBAGE DUMP COMMUNITY AND A COMPUTER LAB AND TEACHER PREP AREA IN A SCHOOL BUILDING. THEY PROVIDED EIGHT MEDICAL CLINICS STAFFED BY MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS THAT SERVED SEVERAL HUNDRED PEOPLE. ACTIVITIES WITH UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN INCLUDED CRAFT CAMPS FOR MORE THAN 100 AND A SOCCER CAMP FOR 105 CHILDREN. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION SPONSORED THE EDUCATION OF APPROXIMATELY 50 STUDENTS AND PROVIDED NUTRITIOUS LUNCHES FOR THOSE STUDENTS. TWO HUNDRED FIFTY CHILDREN IN THE SAME PROGRAM RECEIVED NEW SCHOOL SHOES ALONG WITH HEALTH/HYGIENE KITS.
