The mission of Apna Brooklyn Commun ity Center Inc is to build bridges through community engagement,education and empowerment.since its founding APNA has jumped right into projects to meet the needs of local residents especially those who are low income ,older and have limited english proficiency,moslty immigrants from south asian countries.

This one-day, two-part event began with a Civic Engagement workshop in which various Cityagencies participated and informed the attendees of the various functions and benefitsavailable through them.
JOB RESOURCE FAIR Funded by SBS. This one day event closed off Brighton 7 th Street to traffic permit applied and paid for.Attendees included local public officials, many New York City Agencies, Community Board 13,CERT and local merchants. Chairs and tables were provided for the agencies, elected officialsand local merchants. Hundreds of people were introduced to their local representatives andwere able to talk to representatives of potential employers.
ENTITLEMENT SERVICES The Apna Brooklyn Community Center, Inc., centrally located between the communities ofBrighton Beach, Sheepshead Bay and Coney Island are home to a diverse community of recentimmigrants from countries including Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh. The majority of thepeople are not English speaking and have difficulty in navigating the social service systems.Freeze Assistance. Event was funded by SBS DYCD.
