Organizations Filed Purposes: The mission of the RiverCenter is to develop a positive unifying force, so that together this picturesque small town waterfront community will reach and become a premier cultural destination offering unique and distinctive shopping districts.

Red Bank RiverCenter is the management organization for the entire downtown business district. It manages business recruitment, promotional events and capital projects in addition to business assistance and work with the Borough of Red Bank.

Business Recruitment and Retention:In addition to advertising in print, and on line, on the air, and participating in national trade shows, RiverCenter spent countless hours reaching out to prospective business owners, showing them the town, and connecting them to realtors, building owners, business owners and movers and shakers in town. We helped smooth the way for new businesses to open and for existing businesses to expand in our town. We implemented a new data management system to make us more responsive to our constituents, updated our handbook for opening and doing business in Red bank and held a job fair to help existing businesses find the workers they need to succeed. We continued to advocate for a more business-friendly environment. More details can be found in Schedule O.

Capital Improvements, Design and Infrastructure: In 2019 we completed design, broke ground and completed a $1,798,975 streetscape improvement project that comprised White Street from Broad to English Plaza, all of English Plaza, portions of the White Street parking lot, and Emanuel Court. With funding from the DCA, the Borough of Red Bank, a private donor and our own coffers, we increased safety for pedestrians and motorists, improved traffic flow, connected disparate parts of downtown, added public amenities including a new pocket park, increased parking, and increased the cachet of 32 businesses that border on the project area. More details can be found in Schedule O.

Marketing and Promotions: In 2019 we developed and launched a new marketing campaign and gave our businesses the tools and training to incorporate its essence, look and feel into their own print and social media efforts. We managed and marketed our Red Bank gift card program, selling cards valued at $27,755, of which more than $19,000 was redeemed at our shops, restaurants and arts venues in 2019. We developed a Red Bank tourist map highlighting our businesses. This has been distributed through our own businesses, hotels, and theaters and by hotels and realtors in our outlying areas. Throughout the year we mounted promotional events to increase foot traffic in town and to further Red Bank's reputation as a cultural hub. More details can be found in Schedule O.
