VALLEY HEALTH SYSTEM HAS ALSO PARTNERED WITH DISPATCHHEALTH, A NATIONWIDE ON-DEMAND HEALTHCARE COMPANY TO DELIVER HIGH-QUALITY URGENT CARE TO NORTHERN NEW JERSEY RESIDENTS OF ALL AGES, IN THE COMFORT OF THEIR HOMES. DISPATCHHEALTH AND VALLEY ARE WORKING TOGETHER TO INCREASE ACCESSIBILITY TO AFFORDABLE CARE FOR SENIORS OR BUSY WORKING PARENTS, BOTH OF WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM STAYING HOME FOR TREATMENT. ANOTHER 5,507 PEOPLE ATTENDED MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE EDUCATION PROGRAMS ON TOPICS INCLUDING POSITIVE COPING, WINTER BLUES, ANXIETY ISSUES, BULLYING, MINDFULNESS, PALLIATIVE CARE, MANAGING STRESS, AND NALOXONE TRAINING. 520 PEOPLE ATTENDED WEEKLY GUIDED IMAGERY SESSIONS AND AN ADDITIONAL 441 PEOPLE ATTENDED THE NEW DRUMMING CIRCLE, AN EVIDENCE-BASED, MIND-BODY ACTIVITY THAT USES THE DRUM AS A TOOL FOR PERSONAL EXPRESSION AND HELPS TO LESSEN THE FEELINGS OF BURNOUT AND FATIGUE. 1,190 PEOPLE ATTENDED PROGRAMS ON ARTHRITIS, OSTEOPOROSIS, AND BACK PAIN. ARTHRITIS MANAGEMENT AND FALLS PREVENTION WERE POPULAR TOPICS ALONG WITH JOINT REPLACEMENT. MORE THAN 200 COMMUNITY RESIDENTS TURNED OUT FOR "JOINTS IN MOTION" AN INFORMATIVE EVENT FOCUSED ON ORTHOPEDICS AND JOINT REPLACEMENTS PRESENTED IN CONJUNCTION WITH STRYKER ORTHOPAEDICS AND HELD AT STRYKER'S CORPORATE AND MANUFACTURING HEADQUARTERS IN MAHWAH.
