Organizations Filed Purposes: CATHOLIC CHARITIES OPENED A NEW PROGRAM TO BETTER HELP ADULTS WITH MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS IN BURLINGTON COUNTY. THE CRISIS INTERVENTION SUPPORT SERVICES (CISS) SERVES ADULTS WHO ARE EXPERIENCING A CRISIS DURING WHICH MENTAL HEALTH SYMPTOMS APPEAR. CATHOLIC CHARITIES EXPANDED ITS NEW CHOICES ADDICTION RECOVERY PROGRAM FOR TEENAGERS IN MERCER COUNTY TO SERVE YOUTH UP TO AGE 21. THE CHANGE BRIDGES THE GAP BETWEEN CHILDHOOD AND ADULTHOOD. A VULNERABLE TIME WHEN TROUBLED YOUNG ADULTS WITH UNRESOLVED ADOLESCENT PROBLEMS CAN GET LOST IN AN ADULT SYSTEM WITH ADULT CONSEQUENCES. CATHOLIC CHARITIES OPENED A NEW FAMILY ACCESS CENTER IN EAST WINDSOR TO MEET THE OUTPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS OF THE REGION'S SPANISH-SPEAKING POPULATION.

CATHOLIC CHARITIES, DIOCESE OF TRENTON IS A FAITH-BASED SOCIAL SERVICES AGENCY INCORPORATED IN 1913. THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO ALLEVIATE HUMAN SUFFERING AND THIS IS ADVANCED THROUGH A WIDE VARIETY OF QUALITY PROFESSIONAL SERVICES INCLUDING: BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PREVENTION AND SERVICES, HELP WITH BASIC NEEDS, HOUSING ASSISTANCE, JOB TRAINING, AND SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT, SPECIALIZED CHILDREN'S SERVICES FOR THOSE IMPACTED BY TRAUMA AND ABUSE, AND ADDICTION-FOCUSED TREATMENT. MANY SERVICES ARE OFFERED AT NO COST TO THE CLIENT AND THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES A DIVERSE AND INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH SERVICES, EMPLOYMENT, AND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES ARE PROVIDED TO INDIVIDUALS REGARDLESS OF RELIGIOUS AFFILIATION. AS A MEMBER OF THE CATHOLIC CHARITIES USA NETWORK, WE ARE RECOGNIZED BY THE CHRONICLE OF PHILANTHROPY AS ONE OF THE MOST FISCALLY EFFICIENT NONPROFITS IN THE COUNTRY, USING LESS THAT 10% OF OUR REVENUE FOR ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES (BHS) - BEHAVIORAL HEALTH'S OPERATING PROGRAMS IN THE AGENCY'S FOUR COUNTIES PROVIDED THE FOLLOWING IN 2019: 5,437 HOURS OF PRE- AND POST-EMPLOYMENT RELATED SERVICES PROVIDED TO PEOPLE WITH MENTAL ILLNESS WHO ALSO FACED SIGNIFICANT LIFE CHALLENGES. 348 INDIVIDUALS WITH A SERIOUS MENTAL ILLNESS INCLUDING THOSE WITH CO-OCCURRING SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND MEDICAL DISORDERS WERE ASSISTED TO SECURE OR RETAIN INDEPENDENT LIVING IN THEIR OWN PERMANENT HOUSING.

CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES (CFS) - THE FAMILY GROWTH PROGRAM IN MONMOUTH CONTINUES TO SERVE AS THAT COUNTY'S LEAD PROVIDER OF TRAUMA-SPECIFIC SERVICES TO HELP CHILDREN AND FAMILIES HEAL FROM THE EFFECTS OF VIOLENCE AND ABUSE. THE IMPLEMENTATION OF EVIDENCE-BASED TREATMENTS CONTINUES TO YIELD SIGNIFICANT POSITIVE OUTCOMES. 1,169 FAMILIES RECEIVED CRISIS INTERVENTION AND STABALIZATION SERVICES. 1,328 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED ESL, MENTORING AND OTHER SERVICES THROUGH EL CENTRO, A PROGRAM TRUSTED BY THE MOST VULNERABLE RESIDENTS IN GREATER TRENTON'S LATINO COMMUNITY TO HELP WITH CITIZENSHIP, NATURALIZATION AND FAMILY STRENGTHENING.

COMMUNITY SERVICES (CS) - COMMUNITY SERVICES' OPERATING PROGRAMS IN THE AGENCY'S FOUR COUNTIES PROVIDED THE FOLLOWING IN 2019: 9,796 VISITS FOR NON-FOOD ESSENTIALS SUCH AS CLOTHING, PERSONAL HYGIENE PRODUCTS, BABY CARE PRODUCTS, APPLIANCES AND FURNITURE. 1,481 HOUSEHOLDS RECEIVED HOLIDAY FOOD AND GIFTS DURING THE HOLIDAYS. 308 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED LEGAL ASSISTANCE IN OBTAINING PERMANENT HOUSING. 2,390 HOUSEHOLDS RECEIVED RENTAL/MORTGAGE, UTILITY, AND/OR SECURITY DEPOSIT ASSISTANCE. 600 SENIORS WERE ASSISTED WITH HOME REPAIRS.
