New Jersey Council of County Colleges - The New Jersey Council of County Colleges is the State association for New Jersey's Community College system. Created by a statute as an independent organization that joins the leadership of Trustees and Presidents. NJ Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development - The Consortium was formed in 2004 by the Community Colleges as part of the Council of County Colleges. The purpose of the Consortium is to utilize the resources of the Community Colleges to develop and deliver education and training programs Statewide in support of Workforce and Economic Development. The Consortium is directed to seek New Jersey customized training and literacy grants plus other grants in support of that purpose.
New Jersey Virtual Community College Consortium - In 1999, New Jersey's 18 Community Colleges formed the New Jersey Virtual Community College Consortium (NJVCCC) to increase access to post-secondary eduacation for all New Jerseyans regardless of geographic or time constraints. The NJVCCC was developed as a companion to the New Jersey virtual University. The NJVCCC began offering distance learning courses via the internet in fall 1999. The NJVCCC is not a degree-granting college.
