The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Our mission is to enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Using trained youth development professionals we offer programs in recreation, education/career, character/leadership, health/life skills, arts, sports/fitness.
During 2020 and due to COVID-19, Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County was limited in the services that could be provided to more than 4,000 youth in Union County. For most of the year, we were limited to virtual programming with youth members. Starting mid-June, we were able to open our Aquatic Center in order to provide swim lessons and swim team activities for the youth. In the fourth quarter, we were able to provide programming to a limited number of teens. We also were able to offer a virtual school program at our Union and Plainfield sites. It was a difficult year, however utilizing technology we were able to provide our members with online virtual educational activities as we did our best to communicate with our members and their families.
