Organizations Filed Purposes: Our mission is to help members of our local Westfield area communities who need care and social services. Our purpose is to fund quality programs from agencies approved by the Westfield United Fund. (Continued Sch. O)

The United Fund of Westfield supports local charities in the Union County, NJ area by making grants based on where the need is greatest.

We Love Local Campaign When the coronavirus crisis hit, Westfield Mayor Shelley Brindle reached out to the WUF and asked us to lead a town-wide campaign to help our local businesses, called We Love Local. The campaign was very successful, raising more than $274,000 in just two months from more than 800 donors. We were able to help more than 170 local businesses during a very difficult time. We also raised more than $20,000 for the Westfield Food Pantry to help residents in need due to the pandemic.

Changes to FDC funding This year our Board of Trustees decided that we needed to take a fresh look at the organizations we fund. As a result, we cut funding substantially for three of our larger agencies, and added four smaller, more local organizations: Furniture Assist, Imagine, Moms Helping Moms and the Westfield Volunteer Rescue Squad.
