Koinonia provides holistic care body, mind and spirit - to patients in New Yorks Capital Region. Annually, it serves around 1,700 patients at more than 8,000 visits. Its particular focus is the West Hill and Arbor Hill neighborhoods of Albany, which are among the most underserved areas in the region. To further support this community and address the social determinants of health needs that occur there Koinonia holds outreach activities, including holding a summer camp, community barbeques and holiday parties. Koinonia also provides space to other community-serving organizations, including local churches, the Albany Police Department Community Engagement Bureau and Narcotics Anonymous.
