Primary Exempt Purpose: to promote the development of a highly competent human services workforce which supports individuals with disabilities in advancing & achieving their skills & goals.
CREDENTIALING:-In 2019 the NADSP (Organization) has awarded Direct Support Professionals with national certification at different levels: DSP-Registered-184, DSP-Certified Level One-34, DSP-Certified Level Two-12 DSP Specialist-1, and Frontline Supervisor-5, & resubmissions- 5.
MEMBERSHIP:-For 2019 membership is comprised of the following: Level Four Membership Organizations-21 Agencies (500+ DSPs), Level Three Membership Organizations-24 Agencies (201-500 DSPs), Level Two Membership Organizations-38 Agencies (51-200 DSPs), Level One Membership Organizations-17 Agencies (1-50 DSPs), Affiliate Member Organizations-9, Individual Members (DSPs)-141, Professional members- 26.
SPEAKING & TRAINING ENGAGEMENTS-In 2019 the NADSP staff and faculty have traveled across the country to provide 142 keynote speeches, lectures, technical assistance, training seminars, conference breakout sessions, webinars, and other learning opportunities and has directly engaged with 12,306 people.
