Organizations Filed Purposes: TO HELP CHILDREN, FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS TO GROW AS INDEPENDENT, HEALTHY, AND PRODUCTIVE CITIZENS THROUGH QUALITY COUNSELING, RESIDENTIAL AND SUPPORT SERVICES.

THE UNACCOMPANIED CHILDRENS'(UC) PROGRAM IS OPERATED UNDER FEDERAL CONTRACT WITH THE FEDERAL OFFICE OF REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT (ORR). THE PROGRAM OPERATES UP TO 900 SHORT-TERM FOSTER CARE BEDS AND 12 LONG-TERM FOSTER CARE BEDS FOR UNACCOMPANIED CHILDREN WHO ARE IN FEDERAL CUSTODY. TYPICALLY, YOUTH ARE IN THIS PROGRAM FOR ABOUT 21 DAYS, DURING WHICH TIME THEY RECEIVE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH SCREENINGS, ASSESSMENTS AND CARE, TUTORING, AND SKILLS TRAINING. IN ADDITION, CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES ARRANGE FOR THE CHILDREN TO BE RELEASED TO SPONSORS BY FINDING AND QUALIFYING SPONSORS. THE PROGRAM IS BASED IN NEW YORK CITY. FIXED COSTS (E.G. RENTS), WHICH ARE RATIO BASED ON CONTRACTED CAPACITY ARE FULLY FUNDED BY THE ORR. CENSUS BASED COSTS (FOSTER PARENT PAYMENTS, CLOTHING, FOOD) WHICH ARE CONTAINED IN THE APPROVED BUDGET, ARE FULLY FUNDED BY ORR. THE UNACCOMPANIED CHILDRENS' PROGRAM HAS SERVED APPROXIMATELY 2,020 CLIENTS FROM JULY 1, 2019 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2020.

THE YOUTH AND FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER WAS DESIGNED TO MEET THE DIFFERENT, YET PARALLEL NEEDS OF BOTH CAYUGA AND ONONDAGA COUNTIES. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES A SHORT-TERM, THERAPEUTIC GROUP HOME-STYLE RESIDENCE FOR YOUTH, AGES 5-8, WHO CANNOT REMAIN IN THEIR CURRENT LIVING SITUATION FOR VARIOUS REASONS. THIS IS THE LEAST RESTRICTIVE ENVIRONMENT AVAILABLE AND BASED UPON THE NEEDS OF THE YOUTH, FAMILY/GUARDIAN, AND PLACING COUNTY, THE INTENTION IS TO ADDRESS TRAUMA, BUILD SKILLS, AND PREPARE YOUTH FOR A SAFE AND EXPEDITIOUS RETURN TO THEIR COMMUNITIES, FAMILIES OR CARETAKERS. THE LENGTH OF A YOUTH'S PLACEMENT IN THE YOUTH AND FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER WILL BE DETERMINED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE PLACING COUNTY AND WILL DEPEND UPON THE NEEDS OF THE YOUTH AND FAMILY, AS WELL AS THE CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH THE YOUTH WAS PLACED. LENGTH OF STAY MAY RANGE FROM 1 NIGHT TO A MAXIMUM OF 90 DAYS, UNLESS OTHERWISE AGREED UPON BY CAYUGA CENTERS AND THE PLACING COUNTY. THE YOUTH AND FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER HAS SERVED 107 CLIENTS FROM JULY 1, 2019 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2020.

THE SERVICES FOR PEOPLE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES (SPWDD) PROGRAM PROVIDES QUALITY INDIVIDUALIZED, PERSON-CENTERED SERVICES IN THE AREAS OF MEDICAID SERVICE COORDINATION, DAY HABILITATION, AT HOME RESIDENTIAL REHABILITATION, WEEKEND RESPITE AND FAMILY REIMBURSEMENT. THESE PROGRAMS ARE LICENSED BY NEW YORK STATE'S OFFICE FOR PEOPLE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES, WHICH ALSO CATER TO THE PERSONAL GOALS AND NEEDS OF INDIVIDUALS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES TO HELP THEM ACHIEVE A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE. THE SERVICES FOR PEOPLE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES HAS SERVED 68 CLIENTS FROM JULY 1, 2019 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2020.
