THE ORGANIZATION WORKED WITH THE TOWN OF SOUTHAMPTON AND INITIATED A PILOT PROGRAM TO BRING GOATS INTO VINEYARD FIELD (A 40 ACRE PRESERVED PARCEL IN BRIDGEHAMPTON) AS A NATURAL WAY TO ERADICATE THE INVASIVE AUTUMN OLIVE. THIS WAS PART OF THE NATIVE GRASSLANDS RESTORATION PROJECT, NOW IN ITS 9TH YEAR, IN VINEYARD FIELD. THE PILOT PROGRAM INCLUDED RAISING FUNDS FROM FLPG MEMBERS AND SUPPORTERS, AS WELL AS SECURING GRANTS FROM THE NORCROSS FOUNDATION AND THE SOUTHAMPTON TOWN ENVIRONMENTAL FUND.
