Think of Us is a systems change organization - we spark, partner, influence and create any and all things necessary to change the Child Welfare system and, with it, the lives of the 800K+ youth and their families impacted daily so every human has what they need to Heal, Develop + Thrive.
General Program - Think of Us centers its work in the lived experience of those experiencing the child welfare system. We organize the work into three buckets. Flagship Initiatives - Think of Us takes on the highest impact + trickiest projects that few others will touch - if there's the opportunity to drive systems change, Think of Us throws ourselves in to tackle these multi-year projects coming from every angle. Our first flagship initiative, Increasing Youth Agency, will completely redesign case management so youth own + drive each and every aspect. Centering Lived Experience - Think of Us believes that any + every project in child welfare should be based in lived experience - our team works directly with government, tech, media and philanthropy to deeply integrate folks with lived experience into significant projects in the field. Our approach is unique - in the words of a client: "I've never seen data presented this way, it moves your mind, it moves your heart, this report is perfect." The Hack Foster Care Lab- there are a myriad of things we can do to create immediate solutions. Our Hack Foster Care Lab is focused on hosting hackathons, coordinating crisis response and bureaucracy hacking + unlocking access to underutilized governmental programs. We work in partnership - whether driving, creating Fellowships + Residencies or supporting with a few insights - to make the quick changes that are needed.
