BGI'S NAVAL CEMETERY LANDSCAPE (NCL), A 1.7-ACRE PUBLICLY ACCESSIBLE GREEN SPACE ALONG THE GREENWAY AT THE BROOKLYN NAVY YARD, WAS COMPLETED AND OPENED TO THE PUBLIC IN 2016. IN 2019 BGI ENGAGED LOCAL COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC THROUGH NCL OPEN HOURS, BY PROVIDING FREE PUBLIC YOGA AND MEDITATION PROGRAMS, AND BY COMMISSIONING MULTIPLE SITE-SPECIFIC ART INSTALLATIONS AND PERFORMANCES.
