The Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies, Inc., (LIMS) operating within three distinct areas: education, research, and arts & culture, provides educational instruction and programming to more than 150 students, with a professional staff of five, and a faculty of twenty. Our faculty teach an array of programs and courses including certificate programs in Laban Movement Studies, Introductory Courses, and various classes and workshops.LIMS has experienced a significant contraction of programs and activities together with a 100% staff turnover in the first half of the 2018-2019 fiscal year. Beginning in January of 2019 the organization began a slow rebuilding and expansion which occupied the remainder of the fiscal year.
