We are the only distributor of moving image film in Brooklyn, we offer the film at list price, with no minimums. We are the nations first non-profit motion picture lab as noted by the NYTimes and the only motion picture lab in Brooklyn New York supporting the art form. In March of 2020 we launched a Film Care Package Initiative providing film material and lab services through the USPS with zero-contact to support over 400 artists whose prac- tice was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Of the recipients who provided demographics, 51% identify as BIPOC, 37% identify as members of the LGBTQIA+ community and 40% identify as female. The work generated by this initiative is now coming to the surface through social media and online exhibition platforms. Mx. Felicita Felli Maynard (@photofelli) is a recipient of this support. They used the MONO issued Care Package to document their home and create a self portrait. These images were shared through their social media and re-posted through the MONO InstaGram account. Initially selling prints online to support themselves, later in this year Mx. Felicita offered to make archival prints of the images to raise funds for, Black Trans Travel Fund and For the Gworls under the #supportblackartists.
