NCA works to secure mitigation and remediation of known environmental hazards both in the neighborhoods surrounding Newtown Creek and in Newtown Creek itself by educating the public as to the benefits of mitigation and remediation. NCA is working to secure a comprehensive health study to address unusually high incidences of disease on certain neighborhood blocks by educating the public as to the benefits of a health study. NCA educates the public regarding environmental law and teaches them how to report abuses.
