OUT OF SCHOOL TIME PROGRAM: THE OUT OF SCHOOL TIME PROGRAM IS LICENSED FOR 183 CHILDREN THROUGH NYS OFFICE OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES AND SERVES GRADES K-8. WE ARE DEDICATED TO PROVIDING A SAFE ENVIRONMENT THAT FOSTERS CREATIVITY IN ALL THE CHILDREN THAT ATTEND THE PROGRAM. WE PROVIDE A VARIETY OF COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES FOR OUR STUDENTS, INCLUDING ARTS & HUMANITIES, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, HEALTH AND FITNESS, HOMEWORK SUPPORT, LITERACY, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, SERVICE LEARNING, SOCIAL SKILLS AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION.
DAYCARE PROGRAM: THE BELLE CENTER EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER IS LICENSED FOR 84 CHILDREN THROUGH NYS OFFICE OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES. THE BELLE CHILD CARE DIRECTOR IS WELL RESPECTED IN THE DAY CARE COMMUNITY AND HAS OVER 15 YEARS EXPERIENCE DIRECTING DAY CARE CENTERS. WE UTILIZE THE CREATIVE CURRICULUM FOR INFANTS, TODDLERS & TWOS AS A BASIS OF PREPARATION FOR PRE-KINDERGARTEN. YOUNG CHILDREN LEARN THROUGH PLAYING. "PLAY" IS INCORPORATED INTO THE CURRICULUM AND IS CREATIVELY UTILIZED AS AN EFFECTIVE TOOL FOR EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIAL UPWARD MOBILITY. THROUGH THE CHILD AND ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM, STUDENTS RECEIVE BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER AND A SNACK.
THE BELLE CENTER SERVED OVER 140 CLIENTS IN THE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, WHICH FOCUSES ON WELFARE-TO-WORK INITIATIVE AND JOB READINESS TRAINING. THE PROGRAM HELPS CLIENTS OBTAIN HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY DEGREES, LEARN ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE, AND TRAIN FOR CHILDCARE AND MAINTENANCE JOBS.
