Share knowledge, power, and resources to grow healthy food, heal systemic harm, and strengthen neighborhood connections through community gardens.
Rooted in the transformation of urban neighborhoods through gardens, we educate, provide, and advocate for committed neighborhood gardeners, in over 300k sq ft of green space in Buffalo and Niagara Falls.
Community Gardens - In 2019, we had a record 110 community gardens in our network. We added 2 new gardens on public land as well as 2 community market gardens.
School Gardens - In 2019, we built our first 3 school gardens in Niagara Falls, expanding our network to 30 school gardens. We continued to provide garden-based science education in collaboration with many teachers. We also provided family education through the school gardens with Say Yes Buffalo.
Advocacy/Educations/Workshops - we educated over 1700 youth and adults on how to garden through our Community Garden Education Series. We also renewed our master lease with the City of Buffalo for the next five years.
