IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT IS RESEARCH AND DATA DRIVEN, PROMOTING A SAFE AND HEALTHY COMMUNITY BY EDUCATING CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN AREAS OF SOCIAL CONCERN, COLLABORATING WITH PRIVATE AND PUBLIC ORGANIZATIONS AND SECURING FUNDING FOR PROGRAMS THAT CULTIVATE POSITIVE SOCIAL CHANGE. THE PARTNERSHIP'S UNIQUE STRENGTH IS ITS ABILITY TO BRING TOGETHER AND COLLABORATE WITH AGENCIES AND ORGANIZATIONS WORKING SEPARATELY ON THE SAME ISSUES. THIS HIGH-FUNCTIONING COLLABORATIVE MODEL CREATES MORE EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT SERVICES FOR YOUTH, HAVING A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE WHOLE COMMUNITY. THE PARTNERSHIP HAS THE ABILITY TO BRING TOGETHER SCHOOLS, BUSINESSES, COUNTY ADMINISTRATION, HOSPITALS, LAW ENFORCEMENT (STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL FORCES), LOCAL GOVERNMENT, CRIMINAL JUSTICE, MENTAL HEALTH, CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES, PHARMACIES, AND HUMAN SERVICES.

EPIC ZONE, A YOUTH CLUBHOUSE:EPIC ZONE, A YOUTH CLUBHOUSE, OFFERS A SAFE SPACE WHERE YOUTH HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR DEVELOPMENT, EMPOWERMENT, AND SUPPORT. ALL YOUTH ARE INCLUDED AS VALUABLE MEMBERS OF A COMMUNITY, RICH WITH EXPERIENCES AND ARE ABLE TO IDENTIFY THEIR POSITIVE CONTRIBUTIONS TO SELF AND OTHERS. IN 2019, THE YOUTH CLUBHOUSE SERVED 81 UNIQUE CLIENTS AND SAW AN AVERAGE OF 26 RETURNING MONTHLY. NOT ONLY IS THE CLUBHOUSE A SAFE SPACE FOR YOUTH TO ATTEND WEEKDAYS BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 2:30PM AND 7:30PM, THEY COLLABORATED WITH LOCAL COLLEGES AS VOLUNTEERS AND ENGAGED WITH AND EMBRACED THEIR COMMUNITY IN MULTIPLE SETTINGS.

CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER OF THE FINGER LAKES:THE CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER OF THE FINGER LAKES (CACFL) COORDINATES CHILD ABUSE INVESTIGATIONS IN A COLLABORATIVE AND CHILD-FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT TO MINIMIZE FURTHER TRAUMA TO THE CHILD. THROUGH ON-SITE STAFFING AND PARTNERSHIPS WITH COMMUNITY RESOURCES, THEY PROVIDE CRISIS SUPPORT AND ONGOING SUPPORT TO CHILDREN AND THEIR NON-OFFENDING CAREGIVERS. THROUGHOUT 2019, THE CACFL ADDED A SITE IN PENN YAN SERVING FAMILIES IN YATES COUNTY (NOW SERVING ONTARIO, SENECA AND YATES); SERVED 300 CHILDREN; HELD A TWO-DAY PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION CONFERENCE AT HOBART AND WILLIAM SMITH COLLEGES WITH 125 ATTENDEES; PROVIDED TRAININGS FOR PROFESSIONALS IN THE FIELD OF CHILD ABUSE; AND BROUGHT IN OVER $100,000 IN FUNDRAISING TO INCLUDE A SUCCESSFUL GALA WHICH RAISED OVER $60,000. IN JULY 2019, THE CACFL RECEIVED ITS OWN 501(C)(3) STATUS AND BECAME A SEPARATE NONPROFIT ENTITY.

ONTARIO COUNTY YOUTH COURT:ONTARIO COUNTY YOUTH COURT (OCYC) IS AN ALTERNATIVE TO TRADITIONAL CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM FOR YOUNG PEOPLE WHO HAVE COMMITTED CERTAIN VIOLATIONS. THE GOAL OF YOUTH COURT IS TO INTERVENE IN ANTI-SOCIAL OR DELINQUENT ACTIVITIES, REDUCE THE INCIDENCE AND TEACH NEW BEHAVIORS AND COPING SKILLS. THIS PEER-BASED PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO PROMOTE EDUCATION ABOUT THE JUDICIAL PROCESS, MOTIVATE ACCOUNTABILITY FOR ACTIONS AND REINFORCE RESPONSIBILITY TO SOCIETY THROUGH COMMUNITY SERVICE AND EDUCATIONAL SENTENCINGT. IN 2019, OCYC SERVED 110 FAMILIES, HEARD 55 CASES, TRAINED AND INDUCTED 21 NEW YOUTH PEERS, AND MAINTAINED A COMMITTED MONTHLY STEERING COMMITTEE OF 8 YOUTH.
