ICAAD continued TrackGBV, a program to promote access to justice for women and girls in Pacific Island Countries, by working with the judiciary, law firms, and local NGOs to improve accountability in courts throughout the region. We have analyzed over 5,000 gender-based violence cases in the region to identify biased legal decisions. This data is used for rule of law trainings and to make legislative and policy changes. In-Kind Contributions (law firm and technology partner pro bono): $700,000

ICAAD continued its work to advance monitoring of human rights and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by translating qualitative human rights data into actionable quantitative information for NGOs, foundations, and UN agencies. We do this by fusing together the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) and SDGs, providing greater transparency in understanding the linkage between human rights and international development while creating a framework to monitor the progress of the 17 SDGs. In-Kind Contributions: $5,500

ICAAD was requested by the National Nuclear Commission of the Republic of the Marshall Islands to assist in preparations for negotiations regarding the Compact of Free Association, as well as to assist in determining appropriate international and domestic legal advocacy strategies to pursue health and environmental justice for nuclear testing conducted between 1946-1958.
