The mission of the Crandell Theatre is to promote and develop an appreciation of film and film making that enrich the social, cultural, and educational experience integral to the Chatham community, family life, and lifelong learning.
The Crandell Theatre screens films year-round for the general public and provides curated film series, community film showings, and film making programs for area high-school students. It owns, maintains, and operates the historic movie house in Chatham, NY, listed in 2017 on the national and state registers of historic places.
