RESIDENTIAL SERVICES - AGENCY RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM OPTIONS OFFER A VARIETY OF 24-HOUR SUPERVISED HOME SETTINGS FOR CHILDREN WITH SEVERE EMOTIONAL AND BEHAVIORAL DIFFICULTIES AND FOR ADULTS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES INCLUDING 5 INDIVIDUAL RESIDENTIAL ALTERNATIVE (IRA) HOMES, 3 INTERMEDIATE CARE FACILITY (ICF) RESIDENCES, AND 2 COMMUNITY RESIDENCES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH AGES 5-17.
COMMUNITY AND HABILITATION SERVICES - THE AGENCY PROVIDES DAY SERVICES AND PROGRAMS IN COLLABORATION WITH THE STEUBEN COUNTY AND CHEMUNG COUNTY DEPARTMENTS OF SOCIAL SERVICES. DAY SERVICE OPTIONS ARE SUITED FOR INDIVIDUALS DIAGNOSED WITH A DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY AND OFFERED OUTSIDE THE PERSON'S HOME THROUGH INDIVIDUALIZED, SMALL OR LARGE GROUP PROGRAMS AT LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT STEUBEN AND CHEMUNG COUNTIES. THESE SERVICES UTILIZE STRUCTURED ENVIRONMENTS AS NEEDED AND COMMUNITY OPPORTUNITIES AND RESOURCES WHENEVER POSSIBLE TO OFFER ACTIVITIES, SUPERVISION, AND SUPPORTS THAT ARE DESIGNED TO ENHANCE INDEPENDENCE AND MEET THE NEEDS AND DESIRES OF THE INDIVIDUAL. THESE SERVICES MAY INCLUDE: OCCUPATIONAL, SPEECH, AND PHYSICAL THERAPY, TRANSPORTATION, NURSING, SOCIAL WORK AND PSYCHOLOGICAL AND OTHER SUPPORT SERVICES.STEUBEN COUNTY DEPT. OF SOCIAL SERVICES COLLABORATIVE PROGRAMS SERVE CHILDREN WHO ARE AT IMMINENT RISK OF OUT-OF-HOME PLACEMENT AND THEIR FAMILIES AND REQUIRE REFERRAL FROM STEUBEN COUNTY DSS.
EDUCATIONAL AND CONTRACTED SERVICES - THESE PROGRAMS OFFER DAYTIME CARE AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING TO DEPENDENT FAMILY MEMBERS FROM BIRTH THROUGH SCHOOL AGE, INCLUDING YEAR-ROUND CHILDCARE WITH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING FOR INFANTS THROUGH AGE 12 YEARS, BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CHILD CARE TO SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN THROUGH AGE 12 IN CORNING-PAINTED POST ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS AND SPECIAL CLASS PRESCHOOL SERVICES FOR DEVELOPMENTALLY DELAYED CHILDREN WITH SPEECH/LANGUAGE THERAPY, PHYSICAL OR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, SIGN LANGUAGE, AND HEARING IMPAIRMENT IN STEUBEN AND CHEMUNG COUNTIES.
