Organizations Filed Purposes: THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE TO REFUGEES, CHILDREN, AND VILLAGERS IN THE LESS PRIVILEGED PARTS OF THE WORLD WITH EMPHASIS ON SELF-HELP PROJECTS IN THE AREAS OF PREVENTIVE MEDICINE, PUBLIC HEALTH, AND HEALTH WORKER TRAINING.

TO PROVIDE MEDICAL AID TO UNDERDEVELOPED AND UNDERSERVED AREAS OF THE WORLD.

NEPAL FUND-THIS FUND WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1963, WHEN THE ORGANIZATION INITIATED A MEDICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM IN NEPAL WHICH FOCUSED ON MEDICAL CARE, HEALTH WORKER TRAINING, MEDICAL SURVEYS AND MATERIAL SUPPORT TO HOSPITALS AND RURAL CLINICS. ONE OF THE ORGANIZATIONS MAJOR INITIATIVES HAS BEEN THE SUPPORT OF HOMELESS AND ABANDONED CHILDREN. THIS LED TO THE ORGANIZATION HELPING DEVELOP AND CONSTRUCT A NEW ORPHANAGE ECO-HOME IN THE SANKHU VALLEY. THE ORGANIZATION HAS CONTINUED TO SUPPORT THESE "AT-RISK" CHILDREN THROUGHOUT 2019 PROVIDING ONGOING FUNDING FOR THE ORPHANAGE OPERATIONS AND SUPPLIES. CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O. THE ORGANIZATION HAS CONTINUED ITS EFFORTS TO PREVENT BLINDNESS AND RESTORE VISION, AS THESE ARE AMONG THE MOST COST-EFFECTIVE MEDICAL INTERVENTIONS. IN 2018, THE ORGANIZATION ENTERED AN AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW FULL-SERVICE EYE HOSPITAL IN DHALKEBAR, NEPAL, IN COOPERATION WITH REIYUKAI EIKO MASUNAGA EYE HOSPITAL AND MISSION HIMALAYA IN NEPAL. THE ORGANIZATION HAS PARTNERED WITH THESE ORGANIZATIONS PREVIOUSLY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN EYE CLINIC IN BHAKUNDEBESI, NEPAL IN 2017. THE NEW EYE HOSPITAL IS CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION IN DHALKEBAR, IN THE TERAI REGION NEAR THE BORDER OF INDIA. FUNDING FOR THE INITIAL PHASE OF CONSTRUCTION WAS PROVIDED VIA A DESIGNATED GRANT. CONSTRUCTION OF THE FIRST AND SECOND FLOORS HAS BEEN LARGELY COMPLETED, WITH CONSTRUCTION OF THE THIRD FLOOR TO COMMENCE IN THE SPRING OF 2020. CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES HAVE BEEN PROCEEDING ON SCHEDULE FOR ANTICIPATED COMPLETION LATE IN 2020. IN 2019, THE ORGANIZATION, WITH SUPPORT FROM A FOUNDATION GRANT, SUPPLIED THE HIMALAYA EYE INSTITUTE IN POKHARA, NEPAL, WITH A STATE-OF-THE-ART KEELER INSTRUMENTS 4-SIGHT DEVICE ENABLING RAPID AND PRECISE PRE-SURGICAL MEASUREMENT OF EYES, THEREBY ENABLING OPTIMAL VISUAL OUTCOMES FOR THOUSANDS OF PATIENTS RECEIVING CATARACT SURGERIES. THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUES TO COLLABORATE WITH IN-COUNTRY ORGANIZATIONS FOR OUR "GIFT OF SIGHT" PROJECTS IN UNDERSERVED AREAS, PREVENTING BLINDNESS AND RESTORING SIGHT IN REMOTE VILLAGES. THROUGHOUT 2019, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED SUPPORT TO A NEW COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER LOCATED IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE ECO-HOME ORPHANAGE IN THE SANKHU VALLEY. THE CLINIC IS STAFFED FULL-TIME AND HAS BEEN TREATING AN AVERAGE OF 30 PATIENTS DAILY, PROVIDING VITAL MEDICAL CARE TO THE LOCAL POPULATION.DURING 2019 THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED CONTINUING SUPPORT FOR THE ORPHANAGE ECO-HOME AND THE COMMUNITY MEDICAL CENTER LOCATED IN THE PANAUTI AREA OF NEPAL. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO ENTERED AN AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW FULL-SERVICE EYE HOSPITAL LOCATED IN DHALKEBAR, NEPAL,NEAR THE BORDER OF INDIA. THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUED ITS "GIFT OF SIGHT" PROGRAM , AND ALSO ORGANIZED AND FUNDED AN INTENSIVE TRAINING PROGRAM FOR FEMALE HEALTHCARE WORKERS IN THE LELE VILLAGE AREA. IN 2017, THE ORGANIZATION FUNDED THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW SATELLITE EYE CLINIC IN THE VILLAGE OF BHAKUNDEBESI. THE CLINIC OPENED IN DECEMBER 2017, IS STAFFED FULL-TIME, AND CONTINUES TO PROVIDE CARE TO HUNDREDS OF LOCAL VILLAGERS THROUGH 2019, INCLUDING PROVIDING HIGH QUALITY EYE AND VISION CARE, EYEGLASSES, AND SIGHT-RESTORING SURGERIES. SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON A SLIDING SCALE SO THAT IMPOVERISHED VILLAGERS RECEIVE CARE COMPLETELY FREE OF COST. THREE OUTREACH EYE CAMPS WERE CONDUCTED DURING 2019 AT THE BHAKUNDEBESI FACILITY, INCLUDING OVER ONE HUNDRED FREE SIGHT-RESTORING CATARACT SURGERIES. IN INDIA THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED CONTINUED SUPPORT TO DISABLED TIBETAN CHILDREN BY FUNDING PHYSICAL THERAPY EQUIPMENT. IN NICARAGUA THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUED ITS SUPPORT OF THE SANTA INES CLINIC, PROVIDING MATERNAL AND HEALTHCARE AND MEDICAL SERVICES TO THE DISENFRANCHISED LOCAL POPULATION.

NICARAGUA FUND, ESTABLISHED IN 1999 TO PROVIDE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AND FULL-TIME PHYSICIAN AND NURSING SERVICES TO A CLINIC IN WASPAM, WHICH IS LOCATED ON THE COCO RIVER. IT IS A COMMUNITY-BASED MATERNAL-CHILD HEALTH PROGRAM PRIMARILY BENEFITING MOSTLY WOMEN AND CHILDREN OF THE MISKITO AND MAYAGNA PEOPLE.

INDIA-THE NGOENGA SCHOOL-THE ORGANIZATION IS PROUD TO CONTINUE FUNDING PHYSICAL THERAPY EQUIPMENT FOR THE NGOENGA SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS, DEHRADUN INDIA. THE SCHOOL HAS 50 CHILDREN WITH A RANGE OF DISABILITIES INCLUDING AUTISM, DYSLEXIA, EPILEPSY, POLIO, DOWN SYNDROME AND CEREBRAL PALSY. THIS IS THE ONLY SCHOOL IN EXISTENCE FOR DISABLED TIBETAN AND HIMALAYAN CHILDREN. THIS PROGRAM WAS INITIATED IN 2015 WHEN THE ORGANIZATION FUNDED THE PURCHASE OF MUCH-NEEDED PHYSICAL THERAPY EQUIPMENT AND SPECIAL ORTHOPEDIC SHOES FOR THESE DISABLED CHILDREN.
