RESIDENTIAL HOUSING AND AUXILIARY ENTERPRISES THE UNIVERSITY OFFERS STUDENT HOUSING IN SEVEN RESIDENCE HALLS ON ITS MAIN CAMPUS IN GARDEN CITY, NEW YORK. THERE ARE NUMEROUS SPECIAL LIVING OPTIONS WITHIN THESE HALLS, INCLUDING THOSE FOR STUDENTS WHO IDENTIFY AS TRANSGENDER OR WHO DON'T WISH TO BE IDENTIFIED BY GENDER; FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS SELECTED FOR LIVING-LEARNING COMMUNITIES; AND STUDENTS IN THE HONORS COLLEGE. ACCESSIBLE HOUSING IS AVAILABLE FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES. IN FALL 2019 APPROXIMATELY 1,200 STUDENTS LIVED IN UNIVERSITY RESIDENCE HALLS.
