The Company shall provide fire and rescue services to the Town of Philipstown and the citizens of the Garrison Fire District. Promote the public safety of its citizens through the cooperation of other fire companies located in the town and surrounding areas through mutual aid.
Garrison Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. provided fire and rescue services 365 days/24 hours for the citiens and property owners of the Hamlet of Garrison, Philipstown, Putnam County, New York.
Annually the organization participates in visiting the Garrison Public and private schools, giving demonstrations of firefighting apparatus, fire trucks and fire prevention, i.e. smoke detectors, planned exits in the case of a fire during Fire Prevention Week in October 2018. This included approximately 585 students.
