Organizations Filed Purposes:
To develop and strengthen the healthcare workforce in underserved communities in the counties of Albany, Essex, Fulton, Hamilton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Warren and Washington.
Programs provided by the Corporation include pipeline programming to introduce students to the wide array of career opportunities in healthcare coordinating clinical rotations and field experience in underserved areas and continuing education programs to meet the changing workforce needs of healthcare staff. In the 2017-2018 program year, Hudson Mohawk AHEC provided career exposure to 349 high school students through its pipeline programs community-based experiential training opportunities for 10 health professions students didactic and experiential training for 129 healthcare professionals through continuing education programs and engaged at least 29 strategic partners in support of our goals.
