Organizations Filed Purposes: To provide stability to youth who present themselves as homeless. This will be accomplished through the immediate provision of coordinated services; reunification of families where appropriate; the provision of supervised emergency and transitional housing, with the goal of personal responsibility and self-sufficiency.

In our Emergency Shelter we provided 1,572 bed nights to 73 youth and young adults ages 16 up to 24. Of these youth 70% discharged to permanent housing. Five youth transferred to our Transitional Living Program for Homeless Pregnant and Parenting Youth. Our TLP program provided over 1,733 bed nights and served 16 youth/young adults 16 up to 24 and 11 infants/toddlers. Of those who discharged from the program 5 moved into their own apartment, 6 reunited with family and 5 remain in the program. Our Homelessness Prevention Program assisted 34 households with financial assistance and case management services to keep them from eviction. Our Rapid Re-housing Program assisted 21 homeless households find and maintain permanent housing. Our Healthy Parenting and Mentoring Program has served over 60 families since conception with 8 families this year. Our Street Outreach Program provided outreach to 16 youth which included services such as food, clothing, case management services, and educational support. We assisted 6 youth with medical care and 8 with vocational support while 3 utilized our drop in services here at the shelter.In 2019, WAIT house began coordinating with the Warren COunty Department of Social Services in launching the Sexual Exploited Youth Program (SEY). The goal is to assist youth who have been trafficked or are risk of trafficking. Services provided: advocate on behalf of youth in the court system, with police, DSS and other community members. Safety planning if needed, removing youth fom dangerour environments. We provide public awareness and trainings to community agencies to better educate them on trafficking and what the appropriate response should be. We have recieved 10 referrals, provided 9 awareness trainings, 3 skill based trainings and distributed over 500 brochures at events.
