Organizations Filed Purposes:
The Mission of Comite Noviembre is to commemorate and pay tribute to the Puerto Ricans who have made contributions to this nation, to support educational opportunities for youth through college scholarships, promote, acknowledge, create awareness and take ownership of our rich culture, language, and history, as well as to create open forums to discuss critical issues affecting the Puerto Rican community specifically in the areas of education, youth leadership development, health, politics and civic involvement, and to institutionalize November as Puerto Rican Heritage Month throughout the United States.
Comite Noviembre's mission is to commemorate and acknowledge all aspects of Puerto Rican life from the social and cultural to the educational, economic and political. The charge of Comite Noviembre is to create an awareness of the rich culture, language, and heritage of the Puerto Rican community and to acknowledge its numerous contributions to this state and nation.
Create and disseminate Puerto Rican Heritage Month Activities including commission of annual poster, annual gala honoring Puerto Rican community, calendar journal for distribution to schools and community, Lo Mejor de Nuestra Communidad, Artisans Fair, 3 kings Celebration, Puerto Rican Parade march, website programs and information, cultural and health related workshops, Day of Social Responsibility including turkey and food basket drive for community.
Estoy con Puerto Rico: Humanitarian effort to provide food, water, and small grants to small businesses and non-profits throughout the island of Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria for economic restoration and rebuilding.
Educational/Humanitarian trips "Nuestro Raices"- humanitarian trips to take supplies and volunteer work to devastated areas in Puerto Rico .
