CN Guidance & Counseling Services, a nonprofit organization, inspires and catalyzes recovery for people living with mental health and substance use conditions through innovative and person-centered integrated clinical treatment, counseling, housing and support servicesempowering those served to live healthy and fulfilling lives.CN (Central Nassau) Guidance & Counseling Services has grown substantially since its inception. Our evolution has been shaped largely by the emerging needs of consumers as they move through the process of recovery.
Community Residence Program - The Agency's residential programs provide both transitional rehabilitative and permanent housing settings with flexible support(s) to single adults, couples and families throughout Nassau and Suffolk County. We operate five congregate treatment programs offering 24 hour staff supervision as well as an apartment treatment program, which provides daily staff visits. We serve people in array of housing services, including community residences, apartment treatment program housing, and supported housing (including 2 HUD PHP Grants and a shelter Plus Care Grant).
The Mental health Outpatient Treatment Program (MHC) and Addiction Recovery Treatment Services (ARTS) were integrated to form a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). CCBHC provides comprehensive healthcare services to individuals facing mental illness and/or substance abuse disorders.
Other Program Services include the ACT Team, Integrated Care, Program Recovery Oriented Services, Drop-IN Center/Starry Night Cafe, Forensic Act Team, Outreach Deaf Interpreters, Advocacy Recovery Program, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, Mobile Residential Support, and Home and Community Based Services.
