HeartSupport's mission is to help individuals struggling with their mental health to triage their wounds, seek out healing, and find their purpose. A primary focus is to firmly establish hope and purpose for their life.
Suicide prevention. We provide peer support and resources for people struggling with their mental health.
Recovery Content and Programs - Produce Resources that help people think differently about and take action to better their mental health. We produced over 800 pieces of content which helped generate almost 2 million minutes of support. This content initiated over 6,000 comments, sparking conversations about mental health. We released our 5th mental health book and distributed almost 3,000 of our publications to people seeking support for their mental health. And lastly, we launched our first mental health course, taking over 150 community members into a year-long masterclass on developing their purpose and personal impact.
Online Community and Technology - Develop technology and leverage online channels to deliver mental health peer support. We live streamed over 337 separate times, making real-time support available for our community for over 1,082 hours. This initiated over 500,000 instant chat messages, giving thousands a place to dialogue about and process their mental health. Our forum fielded almost 2,500 topics from individuals opening up about their struggles and asking for support. On average, our community submitted 7 replies per topic with over 600 words of encouragement. This totaled over 1.4 million words of support, which is like writing almost 20 full-length novels of personalized encouragement. Lastly, we developed our second piece of technology called Curator that automatically provides relevant mental health resources for someone who creates a topic on our forum. In total, this program offered over 5.3 million minutes of support to our community.
Events, Outreach, and Awareness - Reach out to people who otherwise might not have sought help for their mental health. We developed a local impact zone in Houston, TX, rallying a coalition of volunteers and partners to directly impact the city. Our first impact event included sponsoring and deploying our physical Support Wall at LOUD Fest. We developed a Coalition of Veteran Influencers and launched our Veterans Initiative to target and support the mental health of our military members. We also launched the world's first Mental Health Gym in partnership with Your Life Gym in Lancaster, PA. Our community members teamed up with our mental health professional to lead peer support mental health classes for members of the gym. We reached out to individual members in our community with 250 personalized support packages with handcrafted art and letters of encouragement and 250 merchandise packages for community members to represent a message of hope in their community.
