Organizations Filed Purposes: The World Association of Non-Governmental Organizations is a global organization whose mission is to serve its member organizations, strengthen and encourage the non-governmental sector as a whole, increase public understanding of the non-governmental community, and provide the mechanism and support needed for NGOs to connect, partner, and multiply their contributions to solve humanity's basic problems.

Programs:WANGO ran the International Young Professionals Programme, a program that provides students with leadership training that will enable them to operate in complex global organizations, such as the UN. Events & Speaking Engagements: WANGO participated in the "2019 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund," which took place from October 14 to 20, 2019 in Washington, D.C. WANGO was a co-sponsor of the "14th Global Forum on Human Settlements: Sustainable Development of Cities and Human Settlements in the Digital Era," co-organized by the Global Forum on Human Settlements, the UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and the World Urban Campaign (WUC). The forum took place from September 5 to 6, 2019 at the UN Conference Centre in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in observance of Urban October 2019. WANGO's chairman, Dr. Tageldin Hamad, was a featured speaker in the "2019 Speaker Series: Promoting Health and Environmental Literacy organized by World Information Transfer (WIT) for its Summer Internship Program. Dr. Hamad spoke to interns in the program on July 29, 2019 at WIT's office in New York City.WANGO was a supporter of and its chairman was a speaker at the "5th Annual Agribusiness & Economic Industry Summit: Accelerating Innovation Worldwide Through Partnerships & Roadmaps," convened by the Africa Marketing Agency in collaboration with the Permanent Mission of the Central African Republic to the UN. The conference took place from July 24 to 26, 2019 at the UN headquarters in New York City. WANGO was a supporter of the "2nd Celebration for an International Day of Education for Global Citizenship, organized by the NGO Steering Committee for an International Day of Education for Global Citizenship in partnership with the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (UNESCO-APCEIU), UN Academic Impact (UNAI), and the UN Department of Global Communications (UNDGC). The event took place on July 18, 2019 at the UN headquarters in New York City. WANGO was a supporter of the "28th International Conference on Health and Environment: Global Partners for Global Solutions, organized by World Information Transfer in partnership with the Government of Ukraine. The conference took place on April 26, 2019 at the UN headquarters in New York City. WANGO participated in a roundtable event on the "Role of Faith in the Human Capital Project" held during the 2019 Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund. The roundtable took place on April 10, 2019 in Washington, D.C. WANGO was a sponsor of and its chairman was a speaker at "The Levant Initiative for World Peace, organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Coalition for Global Ethics. The event took place on March 7, 2019 at the Italian Senate in Rome, Italy. WANGO participated in the "World Government Summit 2019." The conference took place from February 10 to 12, 2019 in Dubai, UAE.
