Since its founding 30 years ago, hundreds of thousands of people of all ages have experienced the Erie Canal and Genesee River aboard Corn Hill Navigation's vessel the Sam Patch. Ridership aboard Sam has grown 40% over the last decade, in 2019 surpassing 15,000 passengers from all 50 states and 57 foreign countries and including more than 2,300 students from schools across the region. On-the-water educational programs explore history, science and the environment, culture, and commerce.
