NYSEIA ASSISTS MEMBER COMPANIES WITH QUESTIONS AND PROVIDES INFORMATION ABOUT CHANGES TO STATE POLICIES.

CONTINUED ADVOCACY FOR GREATER ACCESS TO SOLAR FOR RESIDENTS, BUSINESSES AND LOCALITIES.* NYSEIA HOSTED A POLICY SUMMIT AND RECEPTION IN ALBANY IN MAY, AND OUR BOARD MEMBERS ATTENDED AND SPOKE AT VARIOUS CONFERENCES IN 2019.* NYSEIA WORKED WITH OUR MEMBERS, PARTNER ASSOCIATIONS, AND NYS LEGISLATIVE OFFICALS TO AID IN THE CONTINUED IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NY SUN INITIATIVE. NYSEIA ALSO ENGAGED NYSERDA IN THE DISCUSSION ON SOLAR INCENTIVE LEVELS. ISSUES AROUND INTERCONNECTION OF SOLAR DEVELOPMENT WAS ALSO A PRIORITY.

WE CONTINUED WORKING WITH NYSERDA TO DISCUSS THE NYSUN PROGRAM, GREEN BANK OPPORTUNITIES, PERMITTING, AND PROPERTY TAX ISSUES. THESE ISSUES IMPACT THE ABILITY OF SOLAR TO BE EMPLOYED IN NEW YORK. OUR WORK ON INTERCONNECTION OF SOLAR DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS CONTINUED TO BE A PRIORITY FOR 2019. WE LEAD THE EFFORTS ON TWO WORKING GROUPS WITH THE STATE AND UTILITIES TO MAKE IMPROVEMENTS ON THE TECHNICAL SIDE AS WELL AS THE POLICY SIDE OF INTERCONNECTION. WE CONTINUE TO SERVE OUR MEMBERS AND THE NEEDS OF THE NEW YORK SOLAR MARKET BY SERVING AS A CLEARINGHOUSE FOR ALL THINGS SOLAR. WE PROVIDE INFORMATION TO OUR MEMBERS VIA CONFERENCE CALLS AND REGULAR UPDATE EMAILS.
