Organizations Filed Purposes: THE SPECIFIC MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO COORDINATE RESOURCES TO INSPIRE AND EMPOWER PEOPLE TO ACHEIVE THEIR FULL POTENTIAL.

HEAD START - THIS FEDERALLY FUNDED PROGRAM PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES TO PREGNANT WOMEN, INFANTS, TODDLERS AND PRESCHOOL CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. SERVICES ARE PROVIDED IN THE AREAS OF EDUCATION, HEALTH, NUTRITION, FAMILY SERVICES, PARENT INVOLVEMENT AND MENTAL HEALTH. SPECIAL EFFORTS ARE MADE TO PROVIDE SERVICES FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS. THE PROGRAM PHILOSOPHY RECOGNIZES PARENTS AS THE PRIMARY EDUCATORS OF THEIR CHILDREN. WE WELCOME AND ENCOURAGE PARENT INVOLVEMENT IN ALL PROGRAM FUNCTIONS AND WORK AS PARTNERS WITH THE FAMILY CENTERS IN ONTARIO, SODUS, HURON, CLYDE, LYONS, NEWARK AND PALMYRA. THE PROGRAM SERVES 439 CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES ANNUALLY. ELIGIBILITY FOR BOTH PROGRAMS IS BASED ON ANNUAL INCOME, FAMILY SIZE AND SPECIAL NEEDS.

WEATHERIZATION - THIS FEDERALLY FUNDED PROGRAM HELPS LOW-INCOME HOMEOWNERS AND RENTERS CONSERVE ENERGY, LOWER HEATING BILLS, AND KEEP HOMES WARM IN FRIGID TEMPERATURES. ALL SERVICES ARE FREE OF CHARGE TO WAYNE, ONTARIO, SENECA & CAYUGA RESIDENTS WHOM ARE EITHER CATEGORICALLY ELIGIBLE OR WHOSE INCOMES ARE AT OR BELOW THE PROGRAM GUIDELINES. WEATHERIZATION SERVES 294 LOW-INCOME AND ELDERLY INDIVIDUAL HOUSEHOLDS ANNUALLY.

ADVANTAGE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM - THIS PROGRAM INCLUDES ACTIVITIES SUCH AS CRAFT/HOBBY CLUBS, SCIENCE ACTIVITIES, COMPUTER INSTRUCTION, COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS AND MUCH MORE. EACH ADVANTAGE DAY INCLUDES A NUTRITIOUS SNACK OR MEAL, AND "HOMEWORK HARBOR", A CHANCE TO RECEIVE TUTORING OR HOMEWORK HELP. THIS PROGRAM IS LICENSED BY THE NYS OFFICE OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES - CHILD CARE COUNCIL AND RAN DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR IN 3 SCHOOL DISTRICTS INCLUDING: LYONS, NORTH ROSE-WOLCOTT, AND NEWARK DURING 2019. ALL CHILDREN ON FREE/REDUCED LUNCHES CAN ENROLL AND PARTICIPATE FOR FREE. CHILDREN ON PAID LUNCHES PAY A SMALL FEE OF $15/WEEK/CHILD. (222 SERVED)
