The Renaissance Charter School 2 is modeled after our founding school, a public charter school located in Jackson Heights, Queens, New York. Educators, parents and community leaders founded our school over 20 years ago, concerned about the future of New York City.Renaissance is based on the conviction that a change in the destiny of a single individual can lead to a change in the destiny of a community, nation, and ultimately humankind.Our mission as a planned Kindergarten to 12th grade school is to foster educated, responsible, humanistic young leaders who will through their own personal growth spark a renaissance in New York.
