Accelerate NY Innovation Fund TC Fund, LP Accelerate NY Innovation TC Fund, L.P. is an early stage venture capital firm established in December of 2016 by ANYITC FUND GP, LLC, the general partner, and the New York State Urban Development Corporation (d/b/a Empire State Development), the limited partner. The partnership's general investment strategy is to provide funding for high-tech start-up companies primarily in downstate New York State. Investments will be mostly complete at the end of 2019 and the fund will transition to managing the portfolio.
MIT Venture Mentor Services The Organization and a group of partners from its founding research institutions participated in MIT Venture Mentor Service's Immersion Program and established a mentorship program on Long Island. This mentorship program adopted MIT's "guiding principles", which involve a team approach to mentoring and establishing an "objective" relationship between the mentors and the entrepreneurs that does not involve other business relationships. The program was combined with a mentoring program run by stony brook university's center for biotech.
Accelerate LI Seed Fund The Accelerate Long Island Seed Fund was established by a $500,000 grant from New York State Empire State Development awarded by the Long Island Regional Economic Development Council. The Accelerate Long Island Seed Fund made grants to ten portfolio companies in the biotech and energy sectors and those grants were matched by the Long Island Emerging Technologies Fund (LIETF). The Accelerate Long Island Seed Fund was designed as very early stage funding for companies that are commercializing technologies and the portfolio has been very successful in securing follow-on funding.
