Schuyler Hospital is a 25 bed acute care facility with critical access hospital status and 24 hour emergency services. It provides a full complement of healthcare services to the public in support of the community need for healthcare close to home, which includes the residents of Schuyler County and its surrounding communities. Medical services in 2019 included 3,814 inpatient days, 41,900 Long Term Care days, 176,267 outpatient procedures and 28,661 physician visits. In 2019 Schuyler Hospital provided $145k in free and reduced cost care through its charity care policy and incurred over $478k in bad debt due to the remaining uninsured and increasing under-insured population in the community.
