Organizations Filed Purposes: THE MORRISVILLE COLLEGE FOUNDATION, INC (THE FOUNDATION) WAS INCORPORATED AS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT NEW YORK STATE CORPORATION FOR THE PURPOSES OF SUPPORTING THE EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES OF THE STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE AND TECHNOLOGY AT MORRISVILLE, NEW YORK. THE SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES OF THE FOUNDATION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, FUNDING SCHOLARSHIPS, PROVIDING COLLEGE ASSISTANCE, ADMINISTERING ENDOWMENT FUNDS, AND PROVIDING ON-CAMPUS STUDENT HOUSING.

THIS YEAR,COMMONS REVENUE WAS ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY THE COLLEGE'S CLOSURE IN MARCH AND THE REFUNDING OF ROOM AND BOARD BEYOND THAT DATE. HOWEVER, IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE YEAR, REVENUE FROM THE COMMONS FUNDED 70% OF FALL SCHOLARSHIPS AND PAID FOR THE INSTITUTIONAL ADVANCEMENT BUDGET FOR THAT SEMESTER. ASSUMING THE COMMONS RETURNS TO CAPACITY DURING THE 2020-21 YEAR, THE PROGRAM WILL GENERATE SUFFICIENT REVENUE TO AGAIN SUBSIDIZE SCHOLARSHIPS AND UNDERWRITE THE INSTITUTIONAL ADVANCEMENT BUDGET.

TEMPORARILY RESTRICTED SUPPORT TO INDIVIDUAL CAMPUS DEPARTMENTS, SPORTS, AND ORGANIZATIONS WAS STRONG AGAIN THIS YEAR. SPECIAL CAMPAIGNS FUNDED EQUIPMENT PURCHASES IN HORTICULTURE AND AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY. CASH FUNDRAISING WAS UP 27% ENABLING MORE RESOURCES TO BE SPENT ACROSS CAMPUS.

SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT REMAINED HIGH THIS YEAR AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT OF THE APPLICATION PROCESS MEANS THAT THE STUDENTS MOST IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE ARE RECEIVING IT. STREAMLINED APPLICATIONS DECREASE STUDENTS' BARRIER TO ENTRY WITH A SMOOTHER, FASTER APPLICATION PROCESS AND ENABLE STUDENTS TO APPLY FOR ALL SCHOLARSHIPS AT ONCE RATHER THAN ONE AT A TIME. AN INCREASE TO SCHOLARSHIP GIFTS COMPOUNDED WITH INVESTMENT RETURNS HAS ENABLED US TO INCREASE THE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP SPEND EACH YEAR.
