WORKING PEOPLE AND THE NATION'S HISTORY IN COMBINATION WITH OUR AWARD-WINNING HISTORY TEACHING WEBSITE HISTORY MATTERS: THE U.S. SURVEY COURSE ON THE WEB. THE OER WILL OFFER INSTRUCTORS AND STUDENTS A WHOLLY FREE, MULTI-LAYERED, AND CUSTOMIZABLE RESOURCE FOR U.S. HISTORY CLASSROOMS. MISSION US DEVELOPMENT OF A SERIES OF AWARD-WINNING, FREE ONLINE HISTORY GAME FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL CLASSROOMS IN COLLABORATION WITH THIRTEEN/WNET. THE SERIES HAS BEEN USED BY OVER 3,000,000 STUDENTS AND 80,000 TEACHERS NATIONWIDE. TWO ADDITIONAL MISSIONS WERE IN PRODUCTION THROUGHOUT 2019. DELAYS BY ONE OF THE PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS RESULTED IN THE POSTPONEMENT OF RELEASING MISSION 6 UNTIL MID-2020. PRODUCTION OF MISSION 7 WAS ALSO DELAYED BUT CONTINUED.DIFFICULT HISTORIES/PUBLIC SPACES: THE CHALLENGE OF MONUMENTS IN NYC AND THE NATION:ASHP WORKED IN COLLABOARTION WITH THE CUNY GRADUATE STUDENT PUBLIC HISTORY COLLECTIVE AND THE GOTHAM CENTER FOR NEW YORK HISTORY ON DIFFICULT HISTORIES/PUBLIC SPACES, TO PRESENT A SERIES OF PUBLIC HISTORY SEMINARS EXPLORING THE HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT, PUBLIC RESPONSE, AND ALTERNATIVE APPROACHES TO ESTABLISHING PUBLIC MONUMENTS AND MEMORIALS IN NEW YORK CITY. SEMINARS, OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, WERE HELD IN THE SPRING AND FALL OF 2019 AND DREW OVER 75 PARTICIPANTS.
