Big Apple Performing Arts (BAPA) is home to New York City's Gay Men's Chorus (NYCGMC) and Youth Pride Chorus (YPC). Founded in 1980, NYCGMC is one of the largest and most influential ensembles in the worldwide LBGTQ choral movement and an important voice in the NYC arts and LGBTQ communities. Founded in 2003, YPC is one of the first LGBTQ-identified youth choruses in the US. In 2019, NYCGMC performed full-scale choral concerts and several outreach concerts in the community. YPC performed fully staged and choreographed concerts to growing audiences and performed several outreach appearances throughout NYC.
