Carnegie East House Housing Development Fund Company owns and operates Carnegie East House, New York Citys premier enriched living residence for older adults who need assistance with their activities of daily living. Located on Manhattans Upper East Side, Carnegie East House served approximately 106 older adults in FY 2020. Our goal is to maintain the physical and mental health of our residents so they can celebrate the experience of aging. We offered a diverse selection of activities in FY 2020 to keep our residents active and healthy, such as AileyDance for Active Seniors dance class, chair aerobics and qigong classes, intergenerational activities with children from local schools, prayer services for members of different faiths, pet therapy, performances by the New York Opera Forum, a Shakespeare class, a poetry group and much, much more.
