Organizations Filed Purposes: The Children's Arts Guild helps children transcend limiting expectations and explore and develop their authentic selves through creativity education.

The Guild took over operational control of Creative Classrooms from the Partnership for Inner-city Education in the fall of 2014. The cornerstones of the 20-year success of Creative Classrooms is an emphasis on engaging students in an exploration of their authentic experiences. In 2019, we continued to build on the Creative Classrooms model of professional development for educators by developing a range of workshops, trainings, and curricula to enable educators to support students in becoming engaged lifelong learners. We also continued to build the "Authenticity in the Classroom" program offerings.

Boys' Arts Express/Girls' Arts Express: In 2019, we continued to operate the Boys' Arts Express and Girls' Arts Express as parallel comprehensive five-days-a-week after-school programs at our hub at the Earth School in Lower Manhattan, New York. The programs operated at full capacity, serving one hundred and ten children who attend K-5 in three schools in the East Village participated in the program. During the two 19-week program cycles, children participated in a total of over 25,000 program hours.

In 2019, the Guild continued to build on the professional development expertise of the "Creative Classrooms" program to design and implement "Authenticity in the Classroom," a blended training model in authenticity-based social-emotional learning designed to help educators engage the whole child in learning. In 2019, we trained nearly 250 educators in this approach and began a national roll-out of the program.
