Organizations Filed Purposes:
ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION THAT ECONOMICALLY DISAVANTAGED NY CITY URBAN YOUTH RECEIVE BY PROVIDING SUPPORT AND SERVICES TO THE ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOLS THAT THEY ATTEND. THE FUND IS CURRENTLY TARGETING SCHOOLS THAT WORK WITH PREDOMINANTLY DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN AND PROVIDES THE SCHOOLS WITH SUPPLEMENTAL LEADERSHIP AND CAPACITY-BUILDING PROGRAMS THAT THE SCHOOLS COULD NOT OTHERWISE PROVIDE. THE FUND HAS DEVELOPED AND IS IMPLEMENTING A LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM, WHICH IS CALLED THE PRINCIPAL ACADEMY, AND INTENDS TO CONCENTRATE ITS EFFORTS IN THAT AREA IN THE FUTURE.
