DANCE. ARTISTRY. RESIDENCY PROGRAM, WHICH PROVIDES DISABLED DANCE MAKERS WITH RESIDENCY SPACE AND RESOURCES; A DISABILITY. DANCE. ARTISTRY. FUND, WHICH SUPPORTS INTEGRATED DANCE PRODUCTIONS WITH DISABLED ARTISTS; AND AN NYC DANCE RESPONSE FUND, ESTABLISHED TO MEET NEEDS IN DANCE FOLLOWING SUPERSTORM SANDY.
RESEARCH:DANCE/NYC IS COMMITTED TO EFFECTIVE CASE BUILDING GROUNDED IN RESEARCH. THE ORGANIZATION UNDERTAKES QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE DATA COLLECTION AND SOURCES DATA FROM ITS EVENTS AND EXISTING SECTOR DATA SOURCES AND USES THIS INFORMATION TO GUIDE STRATEGIC POLICY AND FUND DEVELOPMENT IN THE METROPOLITAN NEW YORK CITY AREA. IT CIRCULATES INFORMATION AND RESOURCES TO A NETWORK OF ARTISTIC, COMMUNITY AND CULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS WORKING WITHIN AND ADJACENT TO THE DANCE FIELD.
CONVENING:DANCE/NYC IS AMPLIFYING ITS ROLE AS A CONVENER, CONNECTING AND EDUCATING ITS CONSTITUENTS AND STRENGTHENING THE COLLECTIVE VOICE FOR DANCE. INITIATIVES INCLUDE: AN ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM, THE ONLY GATHERING OF ITS KIND IN THE METROPOLITAN AREA; REGULAR TOWN HALLS AND ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSIONS FOCUSED ON EMERGING FIELD DEVELOPMENTS; AND THE JUNIOR COMMITTEE OF DANCE WORKERS UNDER 30, WHICH BUILDS FIELD LEADERS.
