Program services include a Summer Music Institute at La Schola Cantorum in Paris, France and Suite Francaise, a chamber music concerts series in New York City. The 2019 Summer Music Institute at La Schola Cantorum had 59 students enrolled in 3 areas of study: composition, conducting and chamber music. New to 2019: we engaged a string orchestra in Paris to read, participate in our workshop offering, and record student works. There were master classes, analysis seminars, and concerts given by faculty and guest artists. Highlights includied master classes and concerts given by pianists Emile Naoumoff, and Duanduan Hao; marimbist Makoto Nakura, and pianist and musicologist Roy Howat. Due to the pandemic the Suite Francaise concerts were online virtual events. The organization charges tuition as a normal part of its program services. As part of this process, all applicants are eligible to fill out a financial evaluation form to request aid in the form of a tuition reduction. No actual amounts are paid to students. The directors consider the student's resources, talent, and their parent's occupations to determine if a tuition reduction can be granted. Students came from all over the USA EAMA and the National Association for Music Educators awards prizes for composition for young composers which has been ongong since 2011.
