THE ASSOCIATION ORGANIZED EDUCATOR INSTITUTES IN NEW YORK WHERE TEACHERS FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY PARTICIPATED IN PROGRAMMING WHICH PROVIDED INSTRUCTION IN THE USE OF THE ASSOCIATION'S EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS IN CLASSROOM SETTINGS AND THUS PROMOTED GLOBAL AWARENESS IN UNITED STATES CLASSROOMS. THE ASSOCIATION CONTINUED ITS PRODUCTION OF THE GREAT DECISIONS TELEVISION SERIES WHICH IS AIRED NATIONWIDE ON PBS AND ON ONLINE PLATFORMS. THE GREAT DECISIONS TELEVISION SERIES IS USED BY EDUCATOR, STUDENTS AND DISCUSSION GROUPS IN PROGRAMMING NATIONWIDE. THE ASSOCIATION ACTIVELY ENGAGES WITH SIMILAR ORGANIZATIONS ACROSS THE UNITED STATES TO PROMOTE ITS MISSION AND PROGRAMMING. THE ASSOCIATION'S WEBSITE IS AN IMPORTANT TOOL IN INFORMING THE AMERICAN PUBLIC ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION'S MISSION AND ALLOWS FOR ACCESS TO THE ASSOCIATION'S WIDE RANGE OF VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING AND EVENTS, AND ONLINE RESOURCES.
EDUCATIONAL PUBLICATIONSTHE FOREIGN POLICY ASSOCIATION HAS CONTINUED TO PRODUCE THE GREAT DECISIONS BRIEFTING BOOK WHICH IS PUBLISHED AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH CALENDAR YEAR. THE GREAT DECISIONS BRIEFING BOOK, ALONG WITH THE GREAT DECISIONS UPDATES AND GREAT DECISIONS TEACHERS GUIDES, ARE USED BY TEACHERS, EDUCATORS, STUDENTS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC ACROSS THE UNITED STATES IN PROGRAMS WHICH FOCUS ON U.S. FOREIGN POLICY AND GLOBAL ISSUES. THE ASSOCIATIONS ALSO PRODUCES OTHER EDUCATIONAL PUBLICATIONS ON GLOBAL AFFAIRS AND FOREIGN POLICY ISSUES REGULARLY. THE GREAT DECISIONS BRIEFING BOOK AND RELATED MATERIAL IS USED TO FORM THE BASIS FOR PORTIONS OF THE ASSOCIATION'S EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING AND PROGRAM OUTREACH.
MEETINGS, CONFERENCES AND EVENTSOVER THE COURSE OF THE YEAR THE FOREIGN POLICY ASSOCIATION HAS ORGANIZED NUMEROUS CONFERENCES, MEETINGS, LECTURES AND SEMINARS WHICH FEATURED PROMINENT OFFICIALS, EXPERTS AND AUTHORITIES ON WORLD AFFAIRS AND TOPICS AND WHICH PROVIDED AN EDUCATIONAL VENUE ON GLOBAL ISSUES. THE ASSOCIATION HELD OVER 40 IN PERSON AND VIRTUAL EVENTS AND PROGRAMS IN THE CURRENT YEAR WITH OVER 11,000 PARTICIPANTS. THE CONTENT FROM THE ASSOCIATION'S NUMEROUS MEETINGS, CONFERENCES, LECTURES AND SEMINARS PROVIDE CONTENT FOR ITS EDUCATIONAL PUBLICATIONS, WEBSITE AND TELEVISION SERIES.
