FUTURES AND OPTIONS PROVIDES CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS TO NEW YORK CITY'S UNDERSERVED YOUTH. CAREER ESSENTIALS, AN AFTER-SCHOOL WORK-READINESS AND CAREER EXPLORATION PROGRAM, REACHED 238 MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN FY2020. THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM PROVIDES PAID, MENTORED INTERNSHIPS AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS; IT REACHED 753 STUDENTS WHO WORKED AT 312 BUSINESSES IN NEW YORK. 159 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ATTENDED THE COLLEGE GUIDANCE INITIATIVE TO RECEIVE SUPPORT AND PREPARE FOR THEIR COLLEGE APPLICATION AND SELECTION PROCESS. HIGH SCHOOL SUCCESS AND COLLEGE SUCCESS PROGRAMS ALLOW CAREER ESSENTIALS AND INTERNSHIP PROGRAM GRADUATES TO STAY CONNECTED TO FUTURES AND OPTIONS THROUGH ONGOING NETWORKING AND CAREER EXPLORATION EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. 63 HIGH SCHOOL AND 49 COLLEGE-AGED ALUMNI PARTICIPATED IN THESE EVENTS. ON THE ROAD TAKES FUTURES AND OPTIONS ORIGINAL CAREER DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS TO YOUTH ACROSS THE CITY. THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS WITH NONPROFITS AND HIGH SCHOOLS, 1,081 YOUNG PEOPLE BENEFITTED FROM ON THE ROAD WORKSHOPS IN FY20.
