IS A NATIONAL ORGANIZATION WITH A NETWORK OF 79 AFFILIATES SERVING GIRLS AGES SIX THROUGH EIGHTEEN. SEVENTY-FOUR PERCENT OF THE GIRLS SERVED BY GIRLS, INC. IDENTIFY AS GIRLS OF COLOR, INCLUDING 41% WHO IDENTIFY AS AFRICAN AMERICAN/BLACK, 24% AS LATINA/HISPANIC (OF ANY RACE), AND 9% AS MULTIRACIAL. SIXTY-ONE PERCENT OF THE GIRLS LIVE IN FAMILIES EARNING $30,000 OR LESS A YEAR. ONE IN TWELVE LIVES IN A HOUSEHOLD WITH AN ANNUAL INCOME OF $10,000 OR LESS.

PROGRAM, RESEARCH AND TRAINING: THROUGH PROGRAMMING, RESEARCH, AND TRAINING, GIRLS INC. ENSURES THAT AFFILIATES ACROSS THE NATION CAN DELIVER THE GIRLS INC. EXPERIENCE, WHICH CONSISTS OF PEOPLE, AN ENVIRONMENT, AND PROGRAMMING THAT, TOGETHER, EMPOWERS GIRLS TO SUCCEED. TRAINED STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS BUILD LASTING, MENTORING RELATIONSHIPS IN GIRLS ONLY SPACES THAT ARE PHYSICALLY AND EMOTIONALLY SAFE AND WHERE GIRLS FIND A SISTERHOOD OF SUPPORT WITH SHARED DRIVE, MUTUAL RESPECT, AND HIGH EXPECTATIONS.
